A good, clean cut with a die can depend on a lot of things - material cut, machine strength, sturdy plates, even pressure - and the larger and more detailed a die is, the more things can go wrong.
- Run the sandwich back and forth through the machine a few times
- Turn your die and paper a different way in the machine
- Move the die and paper to a different spot in the machine
- Try adding a shim to your sandwich to create more pressure - this can even be a piece of scrap cardstock
Veteran crafters will know all these steps, and if they’ve tried everything and still can’t get a good cut, we will offer to replace the die.
